Johan Earl

Johan Earl, the founder of DCP Australia, started the original company over ten years ago and specialised heavily in theatrical weapons, explosives and special effects.

Today the business has grown to include a number of smaller companies under the banner of The Armzfx Group Pty Ltd.

These businesses include the original theatrical weapons & special effects business Armzfx, which now has over 300 weapons in it's catalogue and is widely respected throughout the industry. For more information go to the Armzfx web site or view one of our online showreels

By 2009 a post production division had already been established within the company, originally beginning as a visual effects and compositing studio. Later that year the installation of high speed raid drives and render farms saw the facility grow to include online conforming of films, colour grading and now professional DCP mastering.

Rebellion Pictures was also established primarily to cater for our own productions, however we now look at projects from around the world and welcome submissions for our future slate of projects.

Johan is an entrepeneur, not content with sitting still. He continues to expand and push the business forward but maintains close links with independent film. "Everyone in the film industry is doing it tough, hopefully I can help film makers find an economical, yet professional post production path to complete their films."
